After news of Nelson Oliveira’s transfer from AEK Athens to Wolverhampton Wanderers broke, it is now being reported that the English side is now targeting Daniel Podence.
The Olympiacos winger is believed to be a done deal and will be playing his last match for the Greek side when they line up against Athens on Sunday.
With a transfer fee of 19 million pounds, the Portuguese is expected to arrive at the English club any time soon.
With AdamaTraore doing much of the work down the wings for the English side all season, having someone in the mould of Podence will put off much of the pressure on his shoulder in terms of dragging the team along.
Having the likes of Traore wear down due to too much game tie is always detrimental to the long termperformance of the player and more back up singings are usually recommended at every point in time to keep Wolves hope of qualifying for a European competition next season alive.
Molineux’s men have made a habit of beating or at least frustrating the big teams whenever them come across them and the points they accrued from the big six is a major part of the reason why they are in the top six of the league table.
The youthful side mixed with a couple of the experienced players are constantly proven that they can become a main stay of the English premier league as opposed o the likes of Watford and co who are constantly fighting the relegation battle ever since they earned the promotion to participate in the championship.
For what it’s worth, they are still league away from challenging the big boys for the trophies that really matter.
Only Leicester City have broken through a rare wall and a second miracle of grass to grace is not that easy to replicate.
